The greatest inspiration for my photography would have to be nature itself and all the amazing creatures that live among us.

Photography is one of my my greatest passions and I have become involved in it as much as possible. My goal is to create a visual story with every image and capture the raw emotion of the moment. Nature and wildlife are my favorite subjects yet sometimes I enjoy a good venture into portraiture, weddings and other crazy things. Please feel free to browse all of my galleries and know that prints of the majority of images are for sale . Thankyou so much for visiting.

I was born Cheryl Arena in the rolling hills of Pennsyvania and I grew up in the country where my back yard always consisted of plenty of woods full of God's wonderful creatures as well as many gifts of nature. I have a special soft spot in my heart for all animals but am mostly attracted to the beauty and grace of birds. My photography career started in the late 70's with my first film camera the Canon AE-1. I've always loved nature and the outdoors so I was naturally drawn to Nature and wildlife photography. I have learned so much throughout the following years by doing as well as from other great artists that I have come to know. I truely feel at home when I am out in the field so I try to immerse myself in it as much as possible. Living in Florida has given me so many opportunities for wonderful and exciting nature and wildlife images. I also love to get down and dirty into the world of macro photography where all the little things matter. I like finding things in nature we don't often see and making them visible in a way that leaves the viewer wondering what it is they are looking at. I work part-time as a hairstylist so I have lots of free time to shoot if I'm not out playing with my husband.

I now shoot digital and love all the many options it offers. My gear includes the Canon 1DMIII , Canon 40D Canon 2.8 300 mm L IS lens,2x teleconverter, 1.4 teleconverter, and Canon 100-400 4.5-6.6 L IS mm lens for wildlife,Sigma 150mm 2.8 lens for macro images and the Sigma 24-70 2.8mm and Canon 28- 135 IS mm lens for portraiture. I also use the Canon 580 EX2 speedlite ,better beamer, Manfrotto legs with a wimberley gymbal style head.
